June 14, 2010 Dear Parents Blood Donation on Friday 18th June 2010 Every year the Staff and Pupils of New Eton College participate in the commemoration of World Blood Donor Day by organising around mid-June a blood collection at school by the Blood Bank of the Ministry of Health & Quality of Life. This year the event will be held on Friday 18th June from 09:30 to 14:00 and your voluntary contribution of a pint of blood will be most appreciated.
As you may be aware, the need for blood at the Blood Bank Candos is constant and building the blood supply reserve is a daily challenge for the department. Many lives are saved when you donate the life-saving gift of blood. May I therefore thank you in advance for your generosity, your willingness to share your most precious possession and your profound sense of civic responsibility.
You will find below an appeal from Mr. James Dacruz, President of the Parents-Teachers Association. The members of the Staff and P.T.A Executive Committee look forward to your presence on Friday 18th June.
Yours respectfully K. Desha Manager
An invitation to donate your blood Dear Parents
It has been a while now, that each year the New Eton College organizes a blood donation day under the supervision of the Blood Bank of the Ministry of Health and Quality of Life.
Year after year our children, their teachers and other employees of the college, together with a very small number of parents had strived to make this day a symbol of instantaneous generosity toward unknown recipients. Last year we collected 77 pints of blood, a very commendable contribution to the ever growing demand on the country’s Blood Bank.
May we appeal to you dear parents, this year to be by the sides of your loved ones on Friday 18th June 2010. A few moments of our precious time and the knowledge of donating a pint of the most precious liquid in our possession will make us one of the many anonymous donors that are saving lives each day.
Members of the PTA Executive Committee and I look forward to welcoming you on that day. James Dacruz President P.T.A
